What’s the scariest thing you’ve ever done? Would you do something that’s never been done before? In this video, Felix Baumgartner attempts a world record – jumping from from outer space. You have to watch it to believe it:
Felix Baumgartner is a professional skydiver. In this video, he gets taken up in a weather balloon capsule to the stratosphere – beyond the earth’s atmosphere and higher than any plane can fly. From there, he stands out and looks over the earth. It’s an incredible and breathtaking view.
Then he does something that makes your stomach drop – he jumps out of his capsule and falls to earth. In his decent, he reaches 843 mph, being the the first man to break the speed of sound in a free fall, before opening his parachute. Of course, he also broke the record for the highest jump.
Felix took an incredible risk in making this jump, and performed something that can never be taken away from him. It makes us all want to aspire to something big, to do something risky, to do something incredible. That doesn’t mean we all have to go skydiving.
But what can you do that involves risk? What can you do that you’ve never done before? What can you do to take you out of your comfort zone and add more adventure to your life?
